Privacy Policy

Draft. This document is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It is provided for transparency and does not yet constitute a binding legal agreement.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kuzan (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Kuzan website and app.

Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address when you create an account.

Fighter data you enter:information you record about the athletes you coach, which may include their name, weight class, body-weight logs, and injury details (body area, type, severity, and your notes), along with fight dates and check-ins. If a coach enables check-in reminders, this can also include a fighter's email address and consent status for those operational emails. Some of this is health-adjacent information — see the note below.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive limited billing details and subscription status from Stripe.

Technical and usage information: basic, aggregate analytics about how the site is used, collected through a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool. We do not use advertising trackers and do not track you across other websites.

A note on health-adjacent and third-party data

Some data you enter concerns other people (the fighters you coach) and can touch on their health, such as injuries and weight. You are responsible for having the authority to provide this information and for handling it appropriately. If a fighter has a question or request about their information, they can contact their coach or reach us at the address below and we will work with you to address it.

How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the Service (accounts, roster and readiness features, coach-enabled and consented operational reminders and digests), to process subscriptions, to keep the Service secure, to respond to support requests, and to understand aggregate usage so we can improve. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Operational check-in emails

A coach can enable a private daily or weekday check-in email only after confirming that the fighter agreed to receive it. These messages contain a private check-in link and are used to operate the coaching workflow, not to market third-party products. A fighter can stop future check-in emails from that private link at any time, or ask their coach to disable them.

Service providers

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional, digest, and operational reminder email), and Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics). Each processes data under its own terms and security commitments.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your account data and the fighter records associated with it, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, billing records) by law.

Your rights and choices

You can export a copy of your data and permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, use the controls in your settings or contact us.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including row-level security on our database so each coach can access only their own data, encryption in transit, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a material breach as required by law.

Children

The Service is intended for coaches and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate.
